Bliss creates handmade, hand bound photo albums, journals and books with the same attention to detail, materials and creative spirit as with all of our other work. Clients select papers from a endless variety of designs from various paper companies or beautiful leathers. With that material, we transform books into very personal items. NEW gift card notebooks What do you do with those empty gift cards? Throw them away? Not with such great graphics! These gift cards make perfect hard covers for a blank notebook! Each contains nearly 100 pages which are hand sewn using what I like to call a "corset stitch" that incorporates grograin ribbons and eyelets. Perfect for a purse, bag or pocket! They might be empty of monetary value but you can fill them with what ever you like! If you have cards you would like us to use, please send them! Prices start at $8 each.

NEW mod notepads Blank notepads (100 sheets each) are attached to and wrapped with a heavy cardstock. Each one had a "mod" themed image. Choose from a robot, television with rabbit ears, old gas pump, cash register, piggy bank, shopping cart, light bulb, punching bag, peace fingers, movie projector, penguin, scale and a carton of milk. They close with a simply tab that tucks into a cover. Two great sizes perfect for grocery lists or to jot down notes to yourself! Small starts at $6 and large at $8.

wine journals How many times have you tried to remember that great wine that you had 6 months ago, who you shared it with and where you found it? Problem solved! A spiral-bound, hard cover book leaves room for you to affix the label and document when, where and with whom you shared the bottle. There are also places to rate the wine and keep special notes. Priced at $25, you select the paper and receive a prefect gift for a co-worker, hostess or yourself!

cocktail recipe books You have the alcohol, the friends and the great setting. Now you need a special book to keep all your great recipes handy. This slim, spiral-bound, hard cover book has tabs for quick look up! Places for cocktails, beer and ale, blended and frozen, hot, non-alcoholic drinks and any other that don't seem to fit anywhere else. A list at the front, makes it easy for you and your guests to make a selection. Priced at $25.

boxed journal set Maybe you always wanted to keep a journal, or you want to keep notes on a variety of subjects, or you know someone who wants to do these things. This collection includes 12 hand sewn journals put together in a sturdy box. Each box contains 32 lined pages - enough to fill one each day for the entire year. A great gift item for someone who loves to write. Prices start at $40 per set of 12 books and case.

repurposed notebooks In an effort to go "green," we created a notebook that uses previously used materials and made it into something new. Select from a variety of non-perishable food boxes - all items are consumed first. We then use recycled paper between the covers using 3 different binding options. You can choose from a what we currently have in stock or you can send us a special box or bag and we will create it a custom notebook for you. Inside page selections are plain white, lined, or graph paper. Book binding options are below:

• JAPANESE STAB-BINDING Covers are Pages in these notebooks are hand sewn using an ancient technique and embroidery thread. Prices Start at $8 to $16 depending on size and inside paper style.
• SPRIAL-BOUND Covers are either plastic/mylar food bags that have been cleaned and affixed to book board or cardboard food boxes. All are bound with 1" wire. Prices start at $12 to $18 depending on size and inside paper style.
• WOVEN BOX COVERS These notebooks are the combination of two of the same food boxes which are woven together to create the covers. The inside pages are bound with brass fasteners. These notebooks also include a double-sided pocket folder in the middle. Prices start at $18.
• SOFT COVER BAG Covers are made using previously consumed chip or other mylar and plastic food bags. They are cleaned and lined with tyvek to prevent them from tearing. The inside pages are hand sewn directly into the cover. Prices start at $12 depending in on size and inside page choice.

perpetual calendar You need a new calendar, but you can't get one in March?? Problem solved! This hard cover, spiral bound calendar allows you to start on any month and any day. It includes monthly overviews, weekly pages, and a section for notes. You pick the month and fill in the days. We like to say it is perfect anytime. Prices start at $25.

envelope file book A revised design debuting at the One of A Kind Show in December of 2008, this book is covered in various bookcloth and includes seven envelopes. The inside is covered in a paper of your choice and stays closed with a hidden magnet. These are great places to organize projects, save mementos from vacations and keep important papers. The price starts at $25.

travel journal A perfect little book to keep mementos and photographs of a short trip or long weekend. It is a hardcover book that opens to reveal an accordion-style page that pulls out for one continuous writing space. In addition, a small envelope inside the front cover allows you to put small items. A "travel journal" plate on the front cover gives you a place to note just what memories are inside. Prices start at $18.

leather journals Using soft, supple leathers and rich suede, we create a special place for the serious journalist to write. The inside pages are fine writing paper that is sewn directly into the leather covers. Each one has a strap that wraps around the book to secure it closed. Prices vary based on leather type and availability, but begin at $32 for small journals (5x5) and $42 for large (8x5).

screw post photo album This is available in three different sizes - 7x9, 9x12 and 18x12 - each perfect for keeping memories of a special moment. They each have 20 hand cut pages which are then scored, folded and bound between paper covered boards with screw posts. These albums resemble the kind you might find in your grandmother's attic filled with pictures held in with photo corners. Prices start at $25, $40 and $80 respectively. If you wish to add more pages to your custom album, 10 pages is $5 more and 20 pages is $10 more.

accordion photo album This is a simple album that unfolds like an accordion and holds about six to eight pictures. It is a wonderful place for pictures from a weekend trip or to give as a gift. Each is made with a cream textured paper from Italy and paper covered boards. A simple ribbon tie holds the album together. Prices start at $18.

hand sewn journals & books Our blank books are a great place to write down your thoughts, dreams, favorite restaurants, books to read, vacation memories and anything else you want to remember. All book pages are hand sewn together with either linen thread or embroidery thread and then bound into a handmade cover. Each book's colored pages coordinate with the book's paper cover. Our open chain stitch journals, which have spine so they line flat when opened, have the stitching visible and an elastic closure. Prices start at $18 and $25.

paperback book A new take on an old favorite, this book has a hand sewn paper block that is inserted into a paper cover. Prices start at $8.

1. Select the style and size of your book We consider all special requests, so if you want a repurposed book made into a calendar, just ask!

2. Decide on a cover Let us know what color and kind of paper you are looking for. Or, if you are unsure, tell us about the book's purpose and we can select some samples for you. Contact us to see leather samples. If you want a book made with recycled boxes or bags, let us know what products you are interested in and we will let you know if it is in our stock.

3. Choose the inside pages For the screw-post photo albums, you may choose either cream or chocolate brown inside pages. We can accommodate special page color requests, however, we ask for two extra weeks for any papers not in stock. All other books are determined by the paper you select or the type of book you are ordering. Leather books use a fine cream writing paper.
