Bliss creates handmade, hand bound photo albums, journals and books with the same attention to detail, materials and creative spirit as with all of our other work. Clients select papers from a endless variety of designs from various paper companies or beautiful leathers. With that material, we transform books into very personal items. These make great gifts for a wedding, new parent or grandparent, recent graduate, sweet sixteen birthday, retirement or for that person that seems to have everything.

envelope file book A revised design debuting at the One of A Kind Show in December of 2008, this book is covered in various bookcloth and includes seven envelopes. The inside is covered in a paper of your choice and stays closed with a hidden magnet. These are great places to organize projects, save mementos from vacations and keep important papers. The price starts at $25.

repurposed notebook In an effort to go "green," we created a notebook that uses previously used materials and made it into something new. Select from a variety of non-perishable food boxes - all items are consumed first. We then handsew recycled paper between the covers using a Japanese stab binding. You can choose from a what we currently have in stock or you can send us a special box and we will create it a custom notebook for you. Prices range from $8 to $14.

travel journal A perfect little book to keep mementos and photographs of a short trip or long weekend. It is a hardcover book that opens to reveal an accordion-style page that pulls out for one continuous writing space. In addition, a small envelope inside the front cover allows you to put small items. A "travel journal" plate on the front cover gives you a place to note just what memories are inside. Prices start at $18.

leather journals Using soft, supple leathers and rich suede, we create a special place for the serious journalist to write. The inside pages are fine writing paper that is sewn directly into the leather covers. Each one has a strap that wraps around the book to secure it closed. Prices vary based on leather type and availability, but begin at $32 for small journals (5x5) and $42 for large (8x5).

screw post photo album This is available in three different sizes - 7x9, 9x12 and 18x12 - each perfect for keeping memories of a special moment. They each have 20 hand cut pages which are then scored, folded and bound between paper covered boards with screw posts. These albums resemble the kind you might find in your grandmother's attic filled with pictures held in with photo corners. Prices start at $25, $40 and $80 respectively. If you wish to add more pages to your custom album, 10 pages is $5 more and 20 pages is $10 more.

accordion photo album This is a simple album that unfolds like an accordion and holds about six to eight pictures. It is a wonderful place for pictures from a weekend trip or to give as a gift. Each is made with a cream textured paper from Italy and paper covered boards. A simple ribbon tie holds the album together. Prices start at $18.

hand sewn journals & books Our blank books are a great place to write down your thoughts, dreams, favorite restaurants, books to read, vacation memories and anything else you want to remember. All book pages are hand sewn together with either linen thread or embroidery thread and then bound into a handmade cover. Each book's colored pages coordinate with the book's paper cover. Our new open chain stitch journals, which have spine so they line flat when opened, have the stitching visable and an elastic closure. Prices start at $18 and $25.

paperback book A new take on an old favorite, this book has a handsewn paper block that is inserted into a paper cover. Prices start at $8.

1. Select the style and size of your book.

2. For the screw-post photo albums, you may choose either cream or chocolate brown inside pages. We can accommodate special page color requests, however, we ask for two extra weeks for any papers not in stock. All other books are determined by the paper you select. Leather books use a fine cream writing paper.

3. Let us know what color and kind of paper you are looking for. Or, if you are unsure, tell us about the book's purpose and we can select some samples for you. Contact us to see leather samples.

4. Finally, place your order online. Your book will arrive soon, but please remember that each one is handmade, so we take extra care in being sure it is perfect.
